The synergy developed between our two firms, which joined the Group Charles André Group in 2013 and 2017 respectively, currently enables us to position ourselves as a front-line combined operator and ensure our long-term growth. By combining our complementary skillsets to achieve the same ambition, we have become the go-to business partner for every player involved in transport and maritime shipping, for combined transport and multimodal solutions, in France and the rest of Europe.
Our growth is guaranteed by regular investments in our wagon and terminal infrastructures. It enables us to respond to and sustain the growth of our customers’ businesses. Now essential economic players, Novatrans and Greenmodal transport more than 3 million tonnes of goods a year across many business sectors, ranging from natural resources to manufactured products to consumer goods, on a European rail network of approximately 40,000 km between northern Europe and southern Europe. Novatrans and Greenmodal provide daily services to the principal European cities and countries, such as Paris, Lyons, Marseilles, Rotterdam, the Benelux, Scandinavia, the UK, northern Italy, Germany and the ports of Dunkirk, Marseilles/Fos, Le Havre, Gennevilliers, Rouen, Lyons, Antwerp, Zeebrugge, Rotterdam and Hamburg with connections to every other location in Europe through our business partners.
a trailblazer in combined rail-road transport in France since 1967, co-founded the International Union of Rail-Road Combined Transport Companies (UIRR). Using our own terminals and wagons, we operate daily train services in France which guarantee efficient complementary services between road and rail with an extensive network within France and good international connections. An Authorised Candidate with SNCF Réseau, Novatrans directly manages requests for trainpath allocations on their rail network.
was founded in April 2012 from the merging of Railink Europe and River Shuttle Containers, specialists in multimodal transport, complementary in their rail and river transport activities. Also an Authorised Candidate with SNCF Réseau, Greenmodal provides a door-to-door service, transports “reefer” temperature-controlled containers, operates shipment consolidation and transports loads on its rail and river networks. Its own barges ply the Seine, the Rhône and Saône.
